CSD should be considered a primary treatment with disc herniations, degenerative disc disease, facet arthropathy and decreased spine mobility . . . even patients that have had failed surgery.
Vertebral Axial Decompression*: from the Canadian Journal of Clinical Medicine. Effective diagnosis and treatment requires a thorough knowledge of biomechanics (the basis of chiropractic). Once again, this journal article is a bit long but is unique in that it has a section that describes the "mechanism of action" of CSD.
